In the last few years, the cannabis industry has transformed, now encompassing wellness, luxury, and innovation. The Luxury Meets Cannabis Conference, held in New York City, serves as a convergence for luxury brands, cannabis enthusiasts, and industry experts, all eager to explore the emerging trends and opportunities at the intersection of luxury and cannabis. Our founder and CEO recently had the pleasure of attending the LMCC Spring Conference in May. Let's delve into some of the noteworthy trends and highlights that emerged from this captivating event.*

1. Luxe Cannabis Innovations

At the Luxury Meets Cannabis Conference, the prevailing theme is always the emphasis on elevated experiences within the cannabis space. Luxury brands showcased innovative products and services designed to redefine how consumers engage with cannabis.

From intricately designed bongs and stylish smoking accessories to bespoke cannabis-infused culinary delights and beverages, the event unveiled a new era of sophisticated consumption.

One of our favorite innovative items from the show was the handcrafted Ulysses Travel Diary from French Brand Lune Noire. This journal boasted stunning craftsmanship and wonderful hidden functionality for the sophisticated stoner. Partly a writing journal, this book also features a section at the back of the journal that has spaces for pens and pencils, prerolls, rolling papers, gummies, a grinder, and a lighter.

Another creative innovation within the space is the newly debuted brand Brelixi, a water-soluble THC and CBD drink mix featuring nanocannabinoids that allow the consumer to get a faster onset time paired with a more intense high. We tried the CBD Elderberry and Hibiscus drink mix in soda water and it was very refreshing!

These drink mixes were created by food scientist Breanna Neff, whose unrelenting passion for flavor and expertise in these fields make her the ideal operator for Brelixi. Her goal is to develop a multi-functional, category-opening product that exceeds the industry’s expectations. These drink mixes are perfect for the discreet consumer who just needs a little pick-me-up.

2. Wellness - Driven Offerings

The growing acceptance of the therapeutic properties of cannabis has propelled the industry to develop an overall wellness category within the industry. This trend was evident at the conference, with a plethora of CBD and THC-infused products aimed at enhancing physical, mental, and even sexual well-being.

Attendees were introduced to a range of luxurious wellness offerings, including high-end skincare products, tinctures, pre-rolls, and even CBD-infused sexual wellness products. This confluence of luxury and wellness signifies the increasing acceptance of cannabis as a holistic and health-promoting solution.

One brand we loved that's just branching out into the wellness space is Embody. Embody is a high-end wellness and lifestyle brand focusing on the effective benefits of cannabis.

Their product lines range from rose petal cones to flavored CBD-infused intimacy oils to bath powder and more. Founded by Dr. Bridget Williams, who discovered the benefits of cannabis alongside her medical practice, this brand is focused on self-care and being powerful in your own body while understanding the importance of your overall health.

They are a Beauty and Lifestyle brands for women who unapologetically want to find themselves.

Another wellness brand we were drawn to was Sleepy Bear Gummies. Sleepy Bear is a gummy brand focused on holistic wellness, providing a diverse range of cannabinoids to serve specific medical needs. Their packaging is colorful and indicative of enjoying your wellness journey. They have products like Lady Bear - which focuses on women's health and wellness, particularly during their menstrual cycle, Day Bear - which focuses on energy and facilitating a positive mindset (and this one contains THC, an extra perk!) and so many more!

3. Delectable Confections & Beverages

One of our absolute favorite edibles brands at LMCC this year was Sweet Fire. Sweet Fire's edibles and infused drinks are all high-quality, organic, vegan, and crafted in NYC.

We're not going to lie, we (like so many others we're sure) were a bit skeptical of a vegan cookie, but trust us, you won't be able to tell that these are vegan at all. The texture is lovely, the taste is out of this world, and their drinks were unique and delicious.

We tried the Lemon Cookie and also tried the Matcha Latte drink as well, both of which we highly recommend if you are looking to indulge in a delicious edible with a unique flavor.

As we all know, the infused drinks sector is a form factor that is steadily growing within the cannabis space. Pamos is a cannabis and CBD-infused drink brand utilizing California cannabis that is taking a fresh approach to the drinks space.

They have premium spirits so that you can craft your own canna-cocktails and have just released low and high-dose pre-made cocktails so that you don't have to play bartender (unless you want to). Their drinks provide a gentle, fast-acting buzz that you'll enjoy within minutes.

Summary:

Overall, the Spring 2023 LMCC was a great showing of new, up-and-coming brands and innovations in the cannabis and CBD space. We absolutely enjoyed conversing with some amazing founders and supporting teams at LMCC this year. Below is a list of all of the remaining brands that attended LMCC.
