MAVZ

MAVZ is more than a premium wellness brand - it’s a testament to ambition, legacy, and self-determination. Founder Michael Mulkern created MAVZ, named after his firstborn son, Maverick, to embody the philosophy of forging one’s own path. He envisioned a brand that exudes quiet luxury while embracing a holistic and organic approach. His goal was to introduce a high-end, modern aesthetic to tinctures and roll-on products, balancing simplicity with impact.

Jade Stone was entrusted with shaping the brand’s visual identity. We designed the logo wordmark, font system, color palette, and packaging for the MAVZ launch collection: three signature tinctures and a roll-on balm.

 

Our approach focused on minimalism with intentional differentiation, ensuring each element contributed to a refined yet natural feel. To create a cohesive and distinctive look, we grouped the products by a color system that reflects their primary cannabinoids. 

The color palette, featuring Olive Haze, Red Clay, Dewy Blue, and Umber, draws inspiration from organic materials, complemented by neutral tones like Natural Black and Light Stone for contrast.

 

The packaging design centers around a sleek, cylindrical, flat-shoulder tincture bottle finished with a matte spray and a chrome white-gold collar- a style not yet seen in the Massachusetts market. The roll-on balm mirrors this minimalism, with the added detail of a macro mint leaf image, signaling its fragrance and natural origins.

Final Remarks

Mike Mulkern has been a long-time collaborator with Jade Stone, returning to us for every brand project he’s been involved in since 2021. He is thrilled about MAVZ’s upcoming launch, and the brand is already generating demand before manufacturing even begins.

With its anticipated release in March 2025, MAVZ is poised to redefine modern wellness with a presence that is both understated and powerful.
